Do you get bored while your car is charging? With these tips, the waiting time will be very entertaining!

Anyone who travels long distances with an electric car, for example while driving on vacation, also has to take a break from time to time to charge. Depending on the battery level (SoC), you'll have to spend a little more or less time at the charging station. Most cars can charge from 10 to 80% of the battery level in 30 minutes - so you don't even have that much time to bridge the charge.

But if you or your passengers still want to spend time doing something else, here are a few tips for you:

  • Going to the toilet: You can often find your charging stations at a rest stop near a motorway. Going to the toilet while your car is charging is a good way to be prepared for onward travel and to charge your car at the same time.
  • Get coffee and snacks: Of course — if the charging station is near a rest stop, a café or something similar, you can simply pass the time by getting yourself a coffee or another drink and a few snacks.
  • A walk: After sitting in the car for a few hours, it's good to stretch your legs a bit. Especially as a driver, you can yours Recharge batteries, reduce stress levels and be all the more fit for the journey. Do you have a dog with you? He is all the more happy when you give him the chance to move and solve himself.
  • Visiting the playground: Traveling with children? Then you can also use the charging time of your e-car to spend it with your children on a playground. This also gives them movement to continue their journey with more peace of mind.
  • Eat main meals: Is it lunchtime or time for dinner? Great! Head to a charging station near a bar or restaurant and eat your meal in peace while your car is fully charged.
  • Read or watch a series: Do you have your book or e-reader with you? Perfect - sit back, read your book and relax until your car is fully charged. Or you can watch an episode of your favorite series on one of your devices.
  • Relax/sleep: Long distances are exhausting - especially if you drive overnight, set off very early or are still traveling late. Just use the time that your car is charging for a nap. So you can continue your journey refreshed, awake and safer.

These are just a few tips for bridging the charging time. However, we know from our own experience that charging times are usually shorter than feared. Taking a few breaks is good and also makes driving a car safer on long distances.
